The experience of sitting on diets is such that I will hardly voluntarily use this method for self-decoration. If not a "but": I personally saw the results of two weeks sitting on a "Japanese" diet. Like in the magazine: "before" and "after". Yet the principle in matters of beauty and health perhaps works best.

Why the diet is called Japanese is hard to say - half of the foods recommended to eat are exotic to the Japanese. According to legend, the diet was developed by the specialists of the Japanese clinic "Yaeks", but no further traces of this office were found on the English-speaking Internet.

Lyrical sentimental deviation

I must say that I admire the courage of people who are able to feel the weight loss recipe found online and immediately try it for themselves. I myself am careful with diets. Life brought me with them twice.

For the first time - in a serious form, when in the mountains I got a kind of stomach infection, and for three weeks at an altitude of 3000 meters I simply could not eat: everything immediately asked to come back. The second time was when I decided to limit my diet to 1000 calories a day. For almost a month, my diet consisted of morning coffee with ice cream, which is convenient for lunch, and of frozen vegetables for dinner. I learned that diet should be balanced much later.

So the first question I asked was: How balanced is the Japanese diet? "More or less, but there are not enough amino acids, " replied a friend of the biochemist, "you will be vicious - horror with a gun". His fear of my hypothetical increased evil did not materialize. For the first two days, the body was suppressed by the sudden disappearance of normal food from his life. And when he realized that this was long, but not forever, he became quiet and indifferent.

Charm and disappointment

As it happens during each experiment on myself, I have compiled a list of charms and disappointments. Or rather, the inconvenience and enjoyment of the diet.

Annoyance No. 1

The diet is strict. Because according to its authors, it is designed to change the metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even a crouton, even an apple) - and the expected effect is not guaranteed. And that is what is expected: parting with 5-8 kg and weight stabilization in the future.

Annoyance No. 2

It's very hard to get to a business lunch and flirtatious ask for me, thank you, two hard boiled eggs and 200 grams of cracked carrots. Usually, such requests are not met. Therefore, you will need to bring all the provisions in your wallet. And most likely prepare diet meals the day before.

Comfortable number 1

13 days on the Japanese diet costs you approx. 2 times less than daily business lunch or lunch at work. And even more - buying food for the home.

Comfortable number 2

In general, it is better not to start a strict diet if at least half of the foods it consists of are unpleasant for you. And since I eat with great enthusiasm in the "normal life" and fish and boiled beef and carrots and kefir and cabbage, it was honestly gratifying to see them on my table.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning - is not it harmful? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, coffee can have a negative effect. And before you start a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting your doctor.

A full range of sensations

In the first two days of diet, a vision haunted me: as soon as I closed my eyes, a thinly baked pancake appeared before my inner gaze and rolled spontaneously into a tube. Then someone dipped it in strawberry jam and brought it to my face. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After chasing me for two days, the pancake fell backwards.

A rocky indifference and calm attitude to culinary delights that have lasted until today. This does not mean that I will refuse hard if I am offered to try something tasty. But the nervous tremors from the fact that "there is so much food over there" are no longer observed.

I did not shed that much - only 4 kilos, but the weight does not increase. I do not know who to thank for this: the developers of the Japanese diet or myself - for playing sports twice a week. The only detail: During the diet you weaken noticeably, and towards the end it becomes problematic to open an unopened bottle of mineral water. But then the strength is restored quickly.
